Clare Ventures joins Scale Investors Fund

Clare Ventures is proud to join the debut fund at Scale Investors, Australia’s First Women-Led VC Fund backing Women-Led Startups. Founded in 2013 as a gender-lens syndicate, Scale Investors launched its first venture capital fund in 2025, with the focus intentionally shifting  from the Gender Investment Gap to the Gender Innovation Gap.

Scale Investors Venture Fund 1 has raised over $30 million to date for early-stage, women-led ventures and is now actively deploying, with its first three investments into key innovation gaps across the medical, health and life sciences space, including the highly-praised Oli.

Oli, a wireless, wearable device for pregnant mothers enables early detection of maternal complications and aims to alert clinicians of potential risks ahead of time, including postpartum hemorrhage prediction well before onset. Oli is now involved in U.S. clinical trials, as well as trials at the Royal North Shore and Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney. The Oli device was awarded a ‘Breakthrough Device Designation’ by the FDA, in 2021.
